READING I
Maria is a student. She studies in the morning not in the afternoon.
I know and she knows me very well: we are very good friends. Maria’s family lives in a big house, in San Bernardo. Maria wants to live in Calera de Tango, but she doesn’t have the power to decide. Maria’s father, Mr. Espinoza, is talking to Mrs. Gonzalez to study the possibility to buy a house in a new condominium. Maria is happy, but she doesn’t know when she will live in Calera: she has to wait for her parents’ decision.

READING VI
Josefa’s uncle, Gustavo, will not participate in the competition: he has to be operated at 7.00pm, today. He is a good runner, but he can’t represent Chile in a Marathon in Sao Paulo. He has to wait for the next year when he will be well. Gustavo says that he likes to run and he can’t live without participating in competition: the problem is that it can be that after the operation he will not be *able to run again.

READING IX
Martin is opening a bank account in a new bank, in San Bernardo. He wants to have money to buy an apartment in Maestranza: they are selling apartments for 900UFs. Martin’s girlfriend, Sonia, is very happy because she knows that Martin is preparing the situation to marry her. Sonia says that she wants to have two babies and Martin thinks that they will be very happy living together.
